The Garden

What once flowered with aromatic essences so full,

Now lays bare and abandoned.

The seasons came and went

But blossoms bearing life return no more.

Despite all the nurture and kindness one could surrender,

The garden now lays bare and abandoned.

Sunshine no longer giving life

And rains fall only to tired and empty ground.

What once was loved is now lost and gone.
