Bridges of Life

A Selection of Poems

By James Bolgiano

Isn't Love Hard to Understand

Isn’t love hard to understand?

Loved ones can be far away but still near.

It offers no tangibility but can be felt and held.

Although given freely, it’s worth more than silver or gold.

It has no limits,

Even surviving the grave.

It provides strength to the weak,

Courage to those afraid,

Accepts imperfection,

Forgives those gone astray.

It can be soft or it can be firm.

It can laugh, cry or never be heard.

Like magic, you give it

But it never goes away,

Multiplying itself in every way.
