The sun and stars look down
Upon their playground,
Leaving gifts left unopened.
Their beneficiaries too busy
And lives too cluttered
To even notice:
Fragrant flowers,
The beauty of sunsets,
Or birds singing songs to the sunrise.
Senses are turned elsewhere,
And hearts are out of tune,
To the music that surrounds them.
