Where are you when evil comes?
Is there something I don’t see?
Where are you amongst the hunger,
Pestilence, famine and disease? Where are you when hate abounds;
Hitlers, Stalins and evil men?
When nature storms and rivers flood
Or when we suffer at life’s end?
Where are you when children die,
Or when burdens pile up high?
Where are you when our peace in gone

Where are you when our needs aren’t met,
When we’re troubled and upset?
Where are you, O’ God of love?
